Warrior Tonic

Not going to lie, I am BLOWN away by the amount of people who got their hands on one of my limited edition WARRIOR BALM.

Its crafted with some of my green house grown cannabis- infused in coconut oil and then combined with wildharvest albertan goldenrod- a fabulous anti-inflammatory, anti- rheumatic herb.
These herbs have been infused for 3 new moon cycles and then steeped under warm heat with spicy herbs like ginger, turmeric, red chili, mustard seed, cinnamon, copaiba and frankinscense....its such an amazing little remedy to bring circulation into those achy, painful, handworking areas and delivering CBD into the body. Use it for arthritic conditions, stiff joints, and as a cozy muscle rub for colds and flus.

But as a holistic practitioner, I know that in order to acheive optimal anti-inflammatory actions- we must deal with what's happening inside the body, as well.

Here in Edmonton, where I am from, COVID cases are on the rise and another lockdown is impending. My main concern is like many others, staying healthy. So im sharing with you my take on Rosemary Gladstar's famous FIRE CIDER, a immune boosting tincture made with apple cider vinegar.
This simple recipe uses ingredients you can easily find in the grocery store right now and is an amazing way to keep inflammation at bay and boost the immune system- helping to quell colds and deal with the inflammatory flares that come with this season too.

Here is how to make it....

In a 1L size mason jar, combine the following ingredients:
  • 1 onion, diced

  • 1 head of garlic, cloves crushed

  • 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder

  • 1 tbsp Peppercorns or 1 tsp pepper powder

  • 2 sprigs of Rosemary, or 2 tbsp dried Rosemary leaves

  • 1 whole orange, sliced with peels on

  • 1 whole lemon, sliced with peels on

  • 1 tbsp diced fresh ginger, or 2 tbsp dried ginger root

  • 4 sage leaves fresh, or 1 tbsp sage dried

  • 1 tsp cayenne powder

  • 2 tbsp raw, unpasterized honey

  • Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, to cover.

Once you have all the ingredients in your mason jar, cover with apple cider vinegar. Screw the cap on tightly and alllow to infuse in a cool, dark place for a minimum of 3 weeks- the longer the better.
Once youre done tincturing, strain off the plant material from the vinegar and pour into clean mason jar or amber dropper bottle.
Dosage:
  • For general anti-inflammatory or immune boost: 1 tsp diluted in 1ounce of warm water daily.
  • For cold or flu symptom onset: 1 tsp every 3 hours, diluted into warm water until symptoms subside.
This recipe also works great in making healing herbal salad dressing- just mix with a little olive oil and salt for an easy and delicious dressing.
